Abhishek Sharma has the opportunity to reach the 1,000-run mark in his 28th T20I match today. By doing so, he will break Virat Kohli’s record. Former England batsman Dawid Malan and Czech Republic batsman Sabawoon Davies hold the world record for the fastest 1,000 runs in T20 International cricket, in terms of matches. Both batsmen achieved this feat in 24 T20I matches each.
