What ingredients are needed to make Dum Ka Murgh?

Chicken—500 grams with bone

Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tablespoons

1 cup thick yogurt—130 ml

Large onions – 2, fried

Green chillies – 6-7

Mint and coriander leaves—chopped

For the dry spices:

Salt – 1-2 teaspoons

Red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Kashmiri red chilli powder – 1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon

Coriander powder – 1 teaspoon

Cumin seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Saffron milk

Paste:
Almonds – 10-12
Cashews – 10-12
Grated coconut – 2 tablespoons
Cloves – 2-3

Star anise – 2-3
Black cardamom or green cardamom—1 or 2-3
Cinnamon stick – half, crushed
Ghee or oil – 1 cup (130 ml)

How is Dum Ka Murgh made?

Step 1- First, take the chicken with bones and wash it thoroughly.

Step 2 – Now take a pan and add the yoghurt and ginger paste to the chicken and mix it well.

Step 3- Then add the fried onions, coriander, and green chillies. Next, add all the spices, then mix everything together with the milk to make a paste, and then add it to the chicken and mix well with your hands or a large spoon. Finally, add the oil.

Step 4 – Then let it cook for 1-2 hours.

Step 5 – You can serve this Dum Ka Murgh with rumali roti, butter naan, or steamed basmati rice. You can also put cucumber or onion on your plate.
