Now Face Scanning Will Be Done Using Mobile
A Life Certificate is a document that certifies that a pensioner is still alive, ensuring their pension can continue uninterrupted. Previously, it had to be submitted in physical form, but the government has made it completely digital. This digital form can be generated online through the Jeevan Pramaan App. Recently, a Union Minister launched the Digital Life Certificate Campaign 4.0.
The key goal of this campaign is to connect over 20 million pensioners across the country with this digital facility. This campaign is being implemented in over 2,000 cities across the country to eliminate the hassle of visiting banks or government offices for the elderly, disabled, and remote pensioners.
Special ‘Doorstep’ Service for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disabilities
The government has launched a unique ‘Doorstep’ service for senior citizens over 80 years of age and disabled pensioners. Under this facility, a bank employee, post office employee, or India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) agent will now come to your home to generate your digital life certificate. This will save senior citizens the hassle of standing in line and ensure their pension is credited to their account on time.
In addition, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has also simplified this process for its pensioners. EPFO members can now submit their digital life certificate by scanning their face directly on their mobile phone. This feature is especially beneficial for those who cannot leave their homes due to health or age.
Easy way to get a life certificate online
To get a life certificate online, you need to follow a few simple steps:
First, you need to download two apps on your mobile: the ‘Aadhaar Face RD App’ and the ‘Jeevan Pramaan App’.
Next, open the Face RD App and verify your identity by scanning your face.
Now, open the Jeevan Pramaan App again.
Enter your Aadhaar number and mobile number here and verify it via OTP.
Next, take a photo of yourself with the camera and submit it.
Within a few minutes, you will receive a download link with your certificate ID and PPO number.
