After winning the Women’s World Cup 2025, Team India is proudly hoisting its tricolor. On this occasion, the Indian team told its fans how eager it was to win its first World Cup title. It had dreamed of this for years and four years ago, a song was composed with the World Cup victory in mind, which the entire team had promised not to release or present to the world until the team won the title. This time, on Sunday in Mumbai, when India won the title by defeating South Africa by 52 runs, the team also released its anthemΰ₯€
This team song is also being described as the secret anthem of the Indian women’s team. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the song on its social media handle. Sharing the video, it wrote, “Straight from the heart. There couldn’t be a more fitting time for the Indian women’s team to release their team song.”
Jemimah Rodrigues, the team’s middle-order batsman who started this song, says, ‘We had decided about 4 years ago that we will present our team song only when we win the World Cup and tonight is that night.’
After this, the girls of the Indian team hummed this team song. The lyrics of which are as follows: “Team India, Team India! Make everyone’s air tight, Team India, here to fight. No one will take our light… Our future is bright.”
The next lines are, ‘We will walk together, we will rise together, we are Team India, we will win togetherβ¦ no one will mess with us, we will create a riot, our tricolor will remain on top. We are Team India!! We are Team India!! We are Team India!!’
