After winning the Women’s World Cup, Team India will receive a prize money of ₹39.55 crore (approximately $1.23 billion) for the winner. The ICC announced this massive prize money before the tournament even began. The total prize money for the World Cup was approximately ₹123 crore (approximately $1.23 billion). While the winner will receive ₹39.55 crore (approximately $1.98 billion), the South African team will receive ₹19.88 crore (approximately $1.98 billion).

Additional prize money from BCCI

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has also announced that Team India will receive a significant sum of money from the BCCI. The BCCI will award the women’s team ₹51 crore (approximately $5.1 billion) after winning the Women’s World Cup. In total, the players and staff of Team India will receive a total of ₹90 crore (approximately $9 billion) from the ICC and BCCI, which is significant in itself.

An awards ceremony was held to commemorate the 2025 Women’s World Cup victory. For her stellar performance in the tournament final, Shafali Verma was named Player of the Match. South African captain Laura Wolvaardt, who scored the most runs (571), and Deepti Sharma, who took the most wickets (22), also received awards.
