Bank Holidays in November 2025: The month of November 2025 will be full of festivals and regional events. According to the Reserve Bank of India’s holiday list, there will be a total of 13 bank holidays across the country this month. These will include weekly holidays as well as holidays for various religious and cultural festivals. However, these holidays will vary by state. Banks will be closed on certain days in some states, while normal operations will continue in others.
During bank closures, customers will be able to use net banking, mobile banking, ATMs, and UPI services. However, cash deposits, check clearing, passbook updates, or other services at bank counters will not be available on that day.

November 1, 2025: Kannada Rajyotsava and Igas-Bagwal
November will begin with two important festivals. Banks will be closed in Karnataka and Uttarakhand on Saturday, November 1. In Karnataka, this day marks the anniversary of the state’s formation, known as Kannada Rajyotsava. In Uttarakhand, the festival of Igas-Bagwal, also known as the Diwali of the Gods, will be celebrated on this day. On this occasion, people decorate their homes with lamps and celebrate by preparing traditional dishes.
November 5, 2025: Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima
November 5 will be one of the biggest festivals of November. The birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, will be celebrated on this day. Kartik Purnima and Rahas Purnima also fall on this day according to the Hindu calendar. Therefore, banks will be closed in Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Meghalaya, Delhi, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Kerala, Nagaland, and Mizoram.
November 6, 2025: Nongkrem Dance Festival
On November 6, banks will be closed only in Meghalaya. This day marks the state’s famous Nongkrem Dance Festival. It is a traditional harvest festival of the Khasi tribe, held for five days near Shillong.
November 7, 2025: Wangala Festival
Banks will remain closed in Meghalaya on November 7 as well. Wangala, or the 100 Drum Festival, is celebrated on this day, the main harvest festival of the Garo tribe. Hundreds of drums are played during this festival to express gratitude to God.

November 8, 2025: Kanakadasa Jayanti
Banks will remain closed in Karnataka on Saturday, November 8. This day is celebrated as the birth anniversary of Sri Kanakadasa, the great saint, poet, and social reformer of the 16th century. Special programs, bhajans, and cultural events are organized across the state.
