Suzuki unveiled its new and highly unique Burgman Hydrogen Scooter project at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. This scooter is not just a concept, but part of a forward-thinking vision that reflects Suzuki’s “multi-pathway efforts” towards carbon neutrality.

This hydrogen-powered scooter is specifically designed to retain the engine sound and throttle response of a traditional engine, while simultaneously producing virtually zero carbon emissions.

Hydrogen Engine

Let me tell you that this new Burgman Hydrogen has the same Hydrogen Combustion Engine as the traditional engine. That is, both Scooter’s Performance and Sound will remain the same as riders like in Petrol Engine. Suzuki says that he created this project with the idea that Rider received Traditional Experience despite being Eco-Friendly.

Burgman Hydrogen was introduced by Suzuki to Cut-Away Display in Show, allowing visitors to see the technology inside the Scooter. Display closely featured Hydrogen Engine Layout, Fuel Cell System and Tank Architecture.

This clearly shows that Suzuki is not just on external design, but is involved in making the entire engine system Efficient and Safe. High-Tech System has been used for Hydrogen Storage and Fuel Flow, making it Future-Ready.

Design

If we talk about its design, Suzuki has also mentioned the Dimensions of this Hydrogen Scooter – its Length is 2300 mm, Width 765 mm, and Height 1350 mm. Speaking of Design, this Scooter looks quite Futuristic and Stylish, with a clear glimpse of the Burgman Series.

Also its stance from Front to Rear is quite Dynamic, giving it a Premium Urban Scooter-like Feel. If it was changed to Production Model, it could certainly prove to be a Game-Changer in Market.

Let me tell you that Suzuki has prepared Hydrogen Scooter, but the real challenge now is Hydrogen Infrastructure. Currently Hydrogen Refueling Stations is very limited, and they are also mainly limited to Japan and some European countries.
