Temperatures to drop in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar

According to the Meteorological Department, temperatures in Uttar Pradesh are expected to fluctuate significantly. The cold wave is gradually increasing in Uttar Pradesh. According to the IMD, the cold wave is expected to increase in the morning and evening in the next two days, i.e. after Diwali. A period of fog is likely to begin in villages and towns.

People are likely to have to resort to warm clothing and bonfires to protect themselves from the blanket of fog and the cold. Haze is expected to prevail in cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. Temperatures will also begin to drop in Bihar, bringing relief from the scorching heat. Rain alert in several states

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms in several states in South India. According to the IMD, an alert for heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms has been issued in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Additionally, an alert for cloudy weather and heavy rain has been issued in Andhra Pradesh, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep.

Thunderstorms and snowfall are possible in many areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. People have been urged to be cautious due to the possibility of lightning. There is a possibility of light clouds in Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan.
