New Delhi: A major train accident has occurred. The Amritsar-Saharsa Garib Rath Express train, travelling from Ludhiana, Punjab, to Delhi, caught fire near Sirhind railway station on Saturday morning. The flames were so intense that they caused widespread panic. The train had barely travelled half a kilometre from Sirhind station when passengers noticed smoke rising from one coach.

The train was immediately stopped, and railway workers began rescue operations. According to the latest information, three coaches were destroyed. Police and railway teams arrived at the scene as soon as the fire was reported. Fortunately, no passengers were killed. However, a female passenger was injured by the flames and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
