However, Diwali is a festival that requires worshipping Goddess Lakshmi during the Pradosh period. Diwali should be celebrated when the Pradosh period coincides with Kartik Amavasya. Therefore, Diwali will be celebrated on October 20th.

According to astrologers, Diwali will be celebrated on October 20th this year. According to the Drik Panchang, this year the Amavasya Tithi will begin at 3:44 pm on October 20th and end at 9:03 pm on October 21st.

The most auspicious time for worshipping Lakshmi and Ganesha on Diwali will be from 7:08 pm to 8:18 pm. People will have approximately 1 hour and 11 minutes for the puja.
