When Hyundai launched Exter in the Indian market, it was intended not just to offer an SUV, but to build a “feature-packed upmarket SUV ” for tech-savvy and young customers.

New Price

Now Exter’s initial price starts at just ₹5.49 lakhs (ex-showroom), compared to ₹6.21 lakhs earlier. That is, the base variant itself is gaining up to ₹72,000.

At the same time the price of the most expensive variant SX (O) Connect Knight AMT has now come down from ₹10.15 lakhs to ₹9.33 lakhs — ie relief up to ₹82,000. In some manual variants, this reduction has reached ₹84,000, making this SUV now more value-for-money than ever before.

CNG variants

Hyundai has also reduced prices on CNG (dual-cylinder) variants of Exter. Its S Executive CNG MT was previously priced at ₹8.56 lakhs, now saving ₹7.83 lakhs — ie ₹73,000.

CNG variants have now become more attractive options for customers who want both mileage and performance. Exter’s 1.2-litre petrol + CNG engine gets 68 bhp power and 95.2 Nm of torque, giving the best fuel efficiency in its class.

Engine

Exter comes in two engine options — one 1.2-litre petrol engine and the other 1.2-litre petrol + CNG combo. Its petrol engine delivers power of 81 bhp and torque of 113 Nm, available in both 5-speed manual (MT) and AMT gearbox. At the same time, the CNG variant offers excellent fuel efficiency despite a mild power reduction, making it an economical and eco-friendly alternative to everyday driving.
