The second and final Test match of the India-West Indies Test series (IND vs WI 2nd Test) is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. On the third day of the match, Indian captain Shubman Gill took a spectacular catch of West Indies opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul.

Captain Gill’s catch came in the ninth over of the West Indies’ second innings. India’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj bowled the over, and on the third ball, he delivered a short delivery to trap Tejnarayan Chanderpaul. It’s worth noting that the Caribbean batsman, standing in the middle, tried to pull a short ball from Mohammed Siraj and hit it over the boundary. In the process, he mishit the ball, sending it flying.
Gill ran like cheetah to take the catch
What followed was a cheetah-like sprint from mid-wicket to mid-on, where Indian captain Shubman Gill took a stunning catch. It’s worth noting that Tejnarayan Chanderpaul was dismissed for just 10 runs off 30 balls in the West Indies’ second innings. At the end of the third day’s play, the West Indies had scored 173 runs for the loss of two wickets in their second innings. They are still 97 runs behind India ‘s first innings score (518/5 declared).
