The PM Vishwakarma Yojana, run by the central government, primarily targets small artisans and laborers engaged in traditional work. This includes those who have relied on their skills for generations, such as carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, barbers, masons, tailors, weavers, gardeners, potters, and cobblers. The government aims to advance these workers through modern equipment, training, and financial assistance.

This is how you get the benefit of the scheme
To benefit from the PM Vishwakarma Yojana, beneficiaries must first register on the PM Vishwakarma portal. An Aadhaar card, bank account, and mobile number are required. After registration, your work is inspected by officials from the local administration or the relevant department.
Upon approval, you are provided with training and toolkit assistance of up to Rs 15,000. The government also provides a daily stipend of Rs 500 during the training period. Beneficiaries can also receive a loan of up to Rs 1 lakh at a low interest rate, which can be further increased to Rs 2 lakh. Many people have already benefited from this scheme.
