Maruti Suzuki is bringing its much-awaited Fronx Flex-Fuel SUV, which will be unveiled to the world for the first time at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The auto show will run from October 29 to November 9, 2025, and Maruti will showcase its most advanced technology cars.

Maruti Suzuki has shared the first glimpse of this new model, and to be honest, it is difficult to take a look. Although its basic shape is similar to its petrol variants, its sporty graphics and yellow decals give it a completely different identity.
Yellow stickers mounted on the bonnet, doors and sides give the SUV a fairly premium look. In addition, 17-inch black multi-spoke alloy wheels, chrome highlights, and split headlamp designs make it even more bold. The SUV’s Rising Westline, Sloping Roofline, and Thick Body Cladding give it a strong SUV stance.
Engine
Maruti Suzuki has not yet revealed its engine details. But one thing is clear, the company already has 1.2-liter and 1.5-liter petrol engines that are Flex-Fuel compatible. There is a possibility that these same engines will also be used in Fronx Flex-Fuel.
The biggest feature of the Flex-Fuel engine is that it can run on a mixture of both petrol and ethanol. This not only reduces pollution, but also provides better mileage. Means clean, more power, less expense.
Launch
The company has confirmed that its first Flex Fuel Vehicle (FFV) will launch in India by March 2026. Now it will be WagonR Flex Fuel or Fronx Flex Fuel, it will be revealed in the coming months.
Maruti had already shown his WagonR Flex Fuel Version in Auto Expo 2023 and Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. So there is tremendous enthusiasm among auto lovers about this new version of Fronx.
Hybrid Version
In addition to Flex-Fuel, Maruti Suzuki is also working on a Strong Hybrid Version. The special thing is that it will be an in-house developed hybrid system, which is being described as cheaper and more fuel efficient than Toyota’s Atkinson-cycle Hybrid System.
According to reports, this new system will be able to deliver a mileage of over 35 kmpl, making it one of the most fuel efficient cars in the segment. For this, the company will use its new 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine.
