Maruti Suzuki Fronx Flex-Fuel
This new version of Fronx Flex-Fuel is part of the company’s Sustainable Mobility Strategy. It has been specifically designed keeping in mind the Indian market, where the government is constantly promoting Ethanol blending.
The company has already stated that all its carts will be compatible with E20 to E85 fuel blend in the coming times. The Fronx FFV is the first major step in this direction, strengthening the vision of Maruti’s “Cleaner & Greener Future”.
Engine and performance
The car features a 1.2-liter Naturally Aspirated K-Series DualJet engine, designed to be Flex-Fuel compatible. This means that this engine can easily run on petrol as well as up to 85% of Ethanol mixture (E85).
Let me tell you that this engine is specially designed with FFV-specific tuning, upgraded valves, modified fuel injectors and ethanol-resistant components to remain both its efficiency and durability.
Design
Talking about its design, the design of Fronx Flex-Fuel has not changed much. It retains its stylish SUV-coupe body, but has added Green-themed graphics and “Flex-Fuel” badges that feature its eco-friendly nature. This car has black-out alloy wheels, and its size is almost the same as the Indian model.
The same international model also featured some advanced features such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), 1.5-liter engine and AllGrip Select AWD system, which can be gauged that these features can also be found in Indian version in the coming times.
Interior
Maruti Suzuki has given the Fronx Flex-Fuel’s interior a slight redesign. It features a dual-tone theme, ventilated front seats, and an updated dashboard layout, making it even more premium.

Flex-Fuel
Petrol prices in India are steadily rising, and the government is now increasingly working towards adopting ethanol-based fuels. Maruti Suzuki Fronx Flex-Fuel will be launched in India in early 2026. The company can launch it in India first, making it the country’s first mass-market Flex-Fuel SUV. It may cost slightly more than the regular petrol model, ie it is expected to launch between ₹8 lakhs to ₹10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
