Central Government and State Governments are taking multiple steps to shape the citizens lives better than before. For many years, Ration Card has been the lifeline for many households. But as the time progresses, incidents of fraudulent with the Ration Card has also increased. There are various reports that some people are misusing the card. To prevent that, government has taken strong actions. The government also wants to assure free ration for eligible persons only. For the distribution of free ration, Uttar Pradesh state government has announced a big decision, which will benefit lakhs of citizens of the state.
The district’s seven lakh ration card holders will receive free rations starting October 10th, and will continue until October 25th. Ration vendors have been instructed to distribute the full ration to all card holders. They have been warned of action against short-weighing. There are 7,70,559 ration card holders in the district, with 30,59,134 members enrolled.
Free Ration Distribution Date and Time
Free rations are distributed to all card holders. This month, the ration distribution date has been set for October 10th, and will continue until October 25th. District Supply Officer Dilip Kumar has directed all the supply inspectors to ensure complete distribution of ration and if any complaint is received against ration sellers who indulge in adulteration, action should be taken against them.
How much free ration can get?
He said that Antyodaya ration card holders will receive 35 kg of food grains per card, which includes 14 kg of wheat and 21 kg of rice. Eligible household ration card holders will receive five kg of food grains per unit, which includes two kg of wheat and three kg of rice.
Ration will be distributed from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Supply inspectors will inspect ration shops to prevent underweight.
