How many coaches sleeper Vande Bharat Express will get?

Executive Director of Information and Publicity for the Ministry of Railways Dilip Kumar informed that the first sleeper Vande Bharat train is being manufactured at ICF, Chennai. It will have 16 coaches. Like the Rajdhani Express, it will have AC 1, AC 2, and AC 3 classes. The entire train can carry 1,128 passengers at a time. It has also been designed for a speed of 180 km/h.

More coaches in Sleeper Vande Bharat Express?

He added that the number of coaches can be increased as needed. Since this train will operate over long distances, two train sets will be required. One train is already ready and is parked at Shakurbasti in Delhi, while the second train is almost ready at ICF, Chennai.

It will be different from the existing Vande Bharat trains. It will have sleeper coaches, AC First Class, two-tier, and three-tier sleeper berths, making night travel as comfortable as airplane travel. The train will feature soft lighting, automatic doors, bio-toilets, CCTV, LED screens, and modern interiors. Safety features include armor systems, a crash-proof design, and anti-climber features.

What is the major difference between two types of Vande Bharat Express?

Just as there is a difference between Chair Car and Executive Class in Vande Bharat, there will be a difference between First AC and Third and Second AC. Passengers in this class will be offered more amenities, including more comfortable berths and cushioned seats. Efforts are underway to provide flight-like amenities to passengers in this class. Furthermore, the food and beverages will be more special than in other classes. Furthermore, these coaches will also have a higher number of attendants.
