Sources indicate that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar will personally visit Bihar. He has been asked to complete the transfer and posting process in the state before his visit. This clearly indicates that the dates for the Bihar Assembly elections will be announced sometime in the second week of October. Elections are being held for 443 seats in the Bihar Assembly. This time, the main contest in the state is believed to be between the NDA and the Grand Alliance. The 2020 Assembly elections also saw a close contest between the two alliances.
When could the elections be held?
The Bihar Assembly elections are expected to be held in November. Voting in three phases in Bihar is expected to be announced, with election results expected to be released by November 20th. However, no official word has been released yet.
