Design and Looks
Talking about design and looks, the new variant of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is now bolder and more stylish than before. This bike features a projector LED headlamp, long tank shrouds, and a muscular fuel tank, giving it a sporty appeal. It comes in three color options: Racing Red, Matte Black, and Marine Blue. A limited edition with black and gold livery is also available.

On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is not far behind in terms of design. It features a projector headlight, LED DRLs, gray-white-red graphics, and golden USD forks. Its four color options are Brooklyn Black, Polar Sky Blue, Pearl White, and Glossy Racing Red, which give it a more premium feel. However, the Apache appears slightly superior in terms of graphics and finishing.
Engine and Performance
Comparing engine and performance, the Apache RTR 160 4V features a 159.7cc oil-cooled engine that produces 17.55PS of power and 14.73Nm of torque. It also features a slip-and-assist clutch, which helps with smooth gear shifts. Meanwhile, the Pulsar N160 features a 164.82cc air-cooled engine that produces 16PS of power and 14.65Nm of torque. This torque comes at lower RPMs, making it easier to maneuver in traffic.
Underpinnings and Braking
Talking about underpinnings and braking, both bikes feature 37mm inverted forks and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The differences here lie in braking and the wheels. The Pulsar has a larger 300mm front disc and a wider 100/80-R17 tire, while the Apache gets a 270mm disc and a 90/90-R17 tire. This means the Pulsar offers slightly more confidence during sport riding and high-speed braking.
Features and Technology
In terms of features, the Apache RTR 160 4V is the clear winner, as it offers a 5.2-inch TFT display, smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, traction control, three riding modes (Urban, Rain, Sport), USB charging, and TVS’s exclusive Glide Through Technology. The Pulsar N160 offers an LCD console, Bluetooth connectivity, an all-LED setup, and three ABS modes (Road, Rain, Off-Road). However, it lacks premium features like traction control and a TFT.
