According to the Meteorological Department, on September 12, i.e. today, many areas may witness heavy rain with thunder and lightning. The IMD has predicted heavy rain with lightning in Pilibhit, Bareilly, Rampur and Moradabad. Apart from these, heavy rains can be seen in Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur. A heavy rain alert has been issued in most areas of eastern UP on 15 and 16 September.
Possibility of rain at many places in eastern Uttar Pradesh
According to IMD, a heavy rain alert has been issued in Meerut, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich and Shravasti. Apart from these, heavy rains can be seen in Balrampur, Gonda, Siddharthnagar, Basti, Sant Kabir Nagar and Maharajganj. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Gorakhpur, Kushinagar, Deoria and Ballia. On September 13 and 14, there may be minor rains in both parts of the state. Heavy rains are expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh on September 15 and 16.

According to IMD, light to moderate rains are expected in the eastern Terai region in the last 24 hours. An alert has been issued for heavy rain in the lower parts of Maharajganj. The Meteorological Department said that on September 1o, there may also be heavy rainfall along with light to moderate rain in the northern Terai areas of UP.
