According to the information, shortly after takeoff, the pilot discovered an engine fault. The pilot immediately used a ‘Mayday’ call to inform the control room about the engine fault. Due to the pilot’s presence of mind, a major accident was averted. According to the information coming out, the right engine of the plane caught fire.

As soon as Air India flight number AI-2913 took off from Delhi, the pilot soon discovered a fire in the right engine of the plane.

Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the pilot immediately sent a ‘Mayday’ call and informed the air traffic control.

‘Full emergency’ declared at Delhi airport

As soon as the incident was reported, the air traffic control of Delhi airport declared a ‘full emergency’. In a hurry, instructions have been issued to the fire brigade and rescue teams at the airport to be fully prepared. However, the pilot safely landed the plane back at Delhi airport. Fortunately, all the passengers and crew members on board the plane are entirely safe in this incident. According to PTI, more than 90 people were present on the flight at the time of the incident. The emergency landing occurred at approximately 6:15 am, and all passengers are safe.
