The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for several states in the country due to heavy rainfall. A red alert has been issued due to heavy rains in Punjab. The Meteorological Department has also predicted above-average rainfall in many states of the country in September. At the same time, a red alert has been issued for heavy rainfall in all districts of Himachal Pradesh. Jammu and Kashmir also have similar conditions.

Heavy rain warning in Uttarakhand

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for the next 2 days in 17 areas of Uttarakhand. These include Barkot, Almora, Dehradun, Haridwar, Chamoli, Champawat, Joshimath, Mukteshwar, Nainital, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Srinagar, Uttarkashi, Pantnagar, Pithoragarh, and Rishikesh. There is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds in certain districts of Uttarakhand for the next two days. At the same time, the process of rain is expected to continue until September 4 in 18 areas, which include many districts, such as Bhimtal, Badrinath, Bhowali, Binsar, Chamba, Chopta, Devprayag, Dhanolti, Dhauliganga, and Dharchula.

Warning of heavy rain in Jammu and Kashmir

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rain until September 3 in Banihal, Batote of Ramban, Bhaderwah of Doda, Gulmarg of Baramulla, Kokernag and Qazigund of Anantnag, Srinagar, Mirpur, Muzaffarabad, and Pahalgam of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall in several districts, including Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Bahraich, Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, and Lucknow.
