Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will transfer Rs 17,500 crore to the accounts of the farmers of the state on August 14, 2025, as the second installment of the year 2025-26 under the Chief Minister Kisan Kalyan Yojana. This amount will reach the beneficiaries directly through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This will provide economic strength to the small and marginal farmers of the state.

So far, 83 lakh farmers have benefited

Till March 2025, more than 83 lakh farmers had been provided Rs 17,500 crore under this scheme. This financial assistance not only helped the farmers to meet the expenses of farming but also strengthened their livelihood.
Start and objective of the scheme
Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana was launched in September 2020. Its objective is to provide direct financial assistance to the farmers of the state. This scheme was created to provide additional benefits of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, so that farmers can get the help of Rs 12,000 annually. In this, Rs 6,000 is given by the Central Government and Rs 6,000 by the State Government. This amount is given to the farmers in three installments of Rs 2,000.
Eligibility and conditions

Only those farmers can avail the benefits of this scheme who are registered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana and whose e-KYC is complete. The applicant must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh. The farmer should have cultivable land on which he is farming. Income taxpayers, elected representatives, and government employees are kept out of the scope of this scheme.

Benefits of the PM Kisan Yojana too
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana was started in December 2018. It is a fully funded scheme of the Central Government under which farmers are given Rs 6,000 annually in three equal installments. It is operated by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The beneficiaries are identified by the state government and union territories. In combination with this scheme, the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana provides additional support to the farmers.
