Why was the pension stopped?

If the department officials are to be believed, till now, the elderly were not being given a pension under the Chief Minister’s Old Age Pension Scheme. The reason for this was the wear of fingerprints, a problem in identifying the eye (iris), or a difference in the spelling of the name in Aadhaar and bank records, etc. Due to these disturbances, the process of Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) was stopped, and the elderly could not get their monthly pension.
The biometric update will be done in the camp
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar asked the department to immediately find a solution to this problem regarding this problem. Now in these special camps, biometric update, correction in personal details, and other technical work will be completed, so that there is no problem in getting a pension.
Pension increased so much
Recently, the state government had increased the amount of the Chief Minister Old Age Pension Scheme from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100. After this, a lot of people applied. Now the number of beneficiaries of the scheme has increased from 50 lakh to 50,63,557.
