The FASTag Annual Pass for non-commercial vehicles has been announced by the central government. You can now travel 200 times on national highways annually without paying a toll and without constantly recharging your FASTag due to this pass.
FASTag Annual Pass: What is it?
A new annual pass based on FASTag was recently announced by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made the announcement on his X (previous Twitter) account. This pass is specifically designed for people who regularly or daily travel on national highways.
The pass will go into effect on August 15, 2025, and its price has been set at Rs 3000. Any owner of an eligible car can then activate it and start enjoying its benefits year-round without any problems.

How to submit a FASTag Annual Pass request
Soon, the government will include a specific link to this on the MoRTH and NHAI websites. You can take the simple actions listed below as the link gets live.
Visit the official NHAI/MoRTH website or the Rajmarg Yatra App in advance.
On the website or app, click the FASTag Annual Pass link.
Input your FASTag number now.
Enter the required data, such as your mobile number and vehicle registration number.
Pay Rs 3000 once. You can use a credit card, debit card, or UPI to make the payment.
Upon payment, your FASTag Annual Pass will be activated automatically.
When will you receive the benefit?
Everyone will be able to purchase a FASTag Annual Pass starting on August 15, 2025. You will be able to apply for it and have it enabled in your car right away starting on that day.
