Finally, after months of wait, Mercedes-Benz has launched a new benchmark for electric mobility. The EQS 580 Celebration Edition combines power, luxury, and technology in a single vehicle, and thus stands out as one of the most distinctive offerings in India’s premium EV segment.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the EQS 580 Celebration Edition priced at ₹1.30 crore in India. This limited edition of the luxury electric sedan is extremely exclusive, with just 50 units on sale nationwide. It comes with more luxury and technology than the regular variant.
Powertrain and Performance
The EQS 580 Celebration Edition comes equipped with a 107.8kWh battery pack coupled with dual electric motors—one on each axle. This all-wheel drive system delivers 544bhp and a strong 858Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100kmph in just 4.3 seconds, making it a performance-oriented luxury EV.
Unrivalled Range
One of its most notable features is the 817km ARAI-certified single-charge range. It is the longest-range electric car on sale in India at present. The battery would take 11-17 hours to charge completely from a 7.4kW charger. From 0 to 80%, it takes around 31 minutes with a 200kW DC fast charger.
Luxurious Interiors
Inside, the sedan comes with Nappa leather seats as standard, adding to the luxury feel. Designer seat buckle adds that sense of class. The vehicle also comes equipped with Mercedes’ MBUX augmented reality navigation system. This feature displays real-time navigation instructions utilizing a live camera feed, enhancing the driving experience.
Bold Exterior Design
Aesthetically, the EQS 580 Celebration Edition features an illuminated grille cover, smooth LED headlamps, and a seamless rear light bar. It sits on 20-inch alloy wheels that fit into its sci-fi body design. Dimensionally, the vehicle is 5,216mm in length, 2,125mm in width, and 1,521mm in height, with a 3,210mm wheelbase and 124mm ground clearance
