Apart from Chandigarh, all schools in the entire Punjab have also been closed for the next two days. The School Education Department of Punjab has issued this order. It has been announced that all government and non-government schools in the state will remain closed on May 9 and 10. At the same time, schools and colleges in Amritsar will remain closed till May 11.
Apart from this, all schools in Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Barmer of Rajasthan have been closed. On the other hand, after the Pakistani attack, a blackout has also been imposed in Jammu and Kashmir. India’s S-400 air defence system shot down Pakistani missiles. However, as a precaution, the administration has cut off electricity throughout Jaisalmer.
Since when has the situation deteriorated?
The situation between India and Pakistan has remained horrible. The reason for the situation deteriorating is the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. On April 22, 2025, terrorists killed Hindu tourists after asking about their religion.
