Mock Drill Update:- After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, the tension between India and Pakistan seems to be increasing. In this sequence, the mock drill will be organised across the country tomorrow, i.e. on 7 May. After the horrific terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, the central government has taken many significant steps to ensure the safety of the people.
The Home Ministry has instructed many states to organise a comprehensive civil security mock drill on May 7. 28 cities of Rajasthan have been included. Guidelines have also been issued regarding this in all the state districts.
A meeting will be held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary in the Secretariat on Tuesday regarding the mock drill. In which the complete outline of the mock drill is being prepared. Information will be shared with all the collectors and SPs.
Mock drill will be held in these districts of Rajasthan
Mock drill will be conducted in 28 cities of Rajasthan on May 7. These include Kota, Rawatbhata (Chittorgarh), Ajmer, Alwar, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Bundi, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Sikar, Nal (Bikaner), Suratgarh (Sriganganagar), Aburoad (Sirohi), Nasirabad (Ajmer), Bhiwadi, Phulera (Jaipur), Nagaur, Jalore, Beawar, Lalgarh (Sriganganagar), Sawai Madhopur, Pali and Bhilwara.
Sirens are installed at various places.
Sirens have been installed at 10 places in Bikaner city for the security mock drill. According to Jodhpur Collector Gaurav Agarwal, air sirens will be sounded in the mock drill on May 7, and after that, the general public will be informed what they have to do when the air siren sounds. Sirens have been installed at 18 places here.
Under the mock drill, a hooter will be sounded from the city control, after which all the people will have to switch off all the lights of their house, mobile torch, road lights, high mast lights, and lights installed on NHAI and state highways.
Under the mock drill, people will be told how a person can be treated if they get injured. Special care is taken at sensitive places like airports, stations, bus stands, and hospitals.
