New Delhi: Storm and rain have created havoc in the capital, Delhi, and surrounding areas. This has caused heavy damage to the farmers’ standing wheat crop. In two days, many people have lost their lives due to lightning, storm and rain. In Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana, trees broke down in many places due to the storm that started late at night. Traffic jams were caused by trees and poles falling on the roads.
Also, due to the severe storm in western UP, power lines broke, so the supply is still wholly stalled. The weather remained terrible in the northeastern states as well. The weather may remain bad in many parts of North India in the future as well. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain and storms in many country areas.

If IMD is to be believed, the effect of the western disturbance may also continue on Saturday. Storms and lightning are possible at many places in Himachal Pradesh. Light rain and snowfall iis possible n some places in the higher areas of Himachal Pradesh. Also, due to the western disturbance becoming active in Rajasthan, a rain alert has been issued in many districts.
Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner and Churu will likely receive heavy rain and thunderstorms. Also, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Jaipur, Dausa, Alwar and Bharatpur are likely to receive heavy rains. Intense storms can blow at 40-50 km per hour in all these districts.
How will the weather be in Jharkhand?
According to the IMD, heavy rains can be accompanied by thunderstorms in many areas of Jharkhand. Thunderstorms in East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Saraikela Kharsawan and Giridih may accompany heavy rains. Apart from these, rain with strong winds in Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, and Jamtara is possible.
Rain alert in these states
According to IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunderstorms in the northeastern states, Puducherry, Manipur and Mizoram. Hailstorms can also be seen here. Rain and thunderstorms may occur in many places in Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Tripura. Rain is possible in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
