KKR vs LSG: Mitchell Marsh Falls Short of IPL Century, Joins Pooran in Orange Cap Race

Lucknow Super Giants opener Mitchell Marsh is in great form. In the match against Kolkata, he missed his first IPL century by just 19 runs. Marsh played a powerful innings of 81 runs in 48 balls. He was caught by Rinku Singh off the bowling of Andre Russell.

During his knock, Marsh hit 6 fours and 5 sixes. He opened the innings with Aiden Markram, and together, they added 99 runs for the first wicket. After that, Marsh built a strong 71-run partnership with Nicholas Pooran for the second wicket.

Mitchell Marsh is in superb form this season. This was his fourth half-century in just 5 innings. Marsh, who made his IPL debut in 2010, had scored 50 or more only 3 times until 2024. But this year, he looks completely different. He also became the top run-scorer for Lucknow and reached the top of the Orange Cap list.

For Kolkata Knight Riders, Harshit Rana took 2 wickets, while Andre Russell took 1. But overall, KKR bowlers had a tough time stopping the flow of runs.
