Decision in Soren cabinet meeting
In the cabinet meeting held in Jharkhand Ministry today under the chairmanship of Hemant Soren on Wednesday, a total of 31 important proposals have been approved, in which one proposal has been approved to make changes in the physical efficiency of police recruitment and make Police, Kakshapal, Sepoy (Home Defense Corps), Excise Sepoy Joint Recruitment Rules 2025. Under this, earlier there used to be a 10 km race in the physical efficiency for constable recruitment, now a 1600 meter race in 6 minutes has been fixed for male candidates while a 1600 meter race in 10 minutes has been fixed for female candidates.

Let us tell you that in Jharkhand last year (2024) more than 12 candidates died untimely during the race organized for excise constable recruitment, in fact, during the process of excise constable recruitment, the candidates had to complete a 10 km race in 1 hour. During that time it was believed that the 10 km long race is the reason for the death of the candidates.
