Bank Holiday Update

Bank Holidays: The second month of 2026,February,has arrived. February is the shortest month of the year,so it’s natural that it has fewer holidays than other months. According to the official calendar released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI),in February 2026,banks will be closed on Sundays and Saturdays,in addition to regional festivals and foundation days in some states. If you have any important work pending at a bank branch,it would be wise to complete it in time.

Weekly Holidays in February 2026

According to RBI regulations, all banks across the country are compulsorily closed every Sunday and the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Regarding Sunday holidays in February 2026,banks will be closed on the 1st,8th,15th,and 22nd. Additionally, bank branches will remain closed on February 14th,the second Saturday of the month, and February 28th,the fourth Saturday. Thus, banks will be closed for at least six days across the country, but this number may increase when state festivals are included.
