Bank holidays in February
Banks will be closed for events like Losar, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, and State Day/State Foundation Day in February 2026.
Bank holiday on February 18 – Banks in Sikkim will be closed on February 18th for Losar. Losar, also known as the Tibetan New Year, is celebrated in Sikkim with a lot of excitement and vibrant cultural festivities.
Bank holiday on February 19 – In Maharashtra, banks will be closed on February 19, 2026, to celebrate Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti. This day commemorates the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha Empire.
Bank holiday on February 20 – On February 20, 2026, banks in Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh will be closed for Statehood Day. Both states achieved full statehood on this date in 1987.
