The central government launched the PM Kisan Yojana in February 2019. Under this scheme,all the eligible farmers of the country are being given financial assistance of Rs 6000 in 3 installments of Rs 2000 every year.
The central government had launched this scheme to empower the farmers. However,the government is constantly keeping an eye on those who are taking advantage of this scheme in the wrong way.

Know recovery from ineligible farmers
According to the information given by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare,the central government has directed the states and union territories to identify high-income groups such as income taxpayers,government company employees,state / central government,constitutional post holders,and all such ineligible farmers.
The amount given under the scheme has been instructed to be recovered compulsorily. According to the information given by the ministry,an amount of Rs 416 crore has been recovered from ineligible farmers across the country so far. Land seeding,Aadhaar-based payment,and e-KYC have been made mandatory from the 12th to the 15th installment.
From which farmers will the money be recovered
The government has said that farmers who are in a better financial condition will not be given the benefit of the scheme. All such farmers will be ineligible under this scheme. The government has released a list of all such people. If these people have received any amount under the scheme,they will have to return all that amount.
- Owners of institutional land.
- People holding or having held constitutional posts.
- Former and present ministers,present mayors of municipal corporations,and former and present chairpersons of district panchayats.
- Government officials or employees of ministries,offices,departments,and regional units of the central or state government.
- Officers and employees retired from government service.
- Regular employees of local bodies (excluding Multi Tasking Staff/Category IV/Group D employees).
- All pensioners whose monthly pension is Rs 10,000 or more.
- Taxpayers,registered professionals like doctors,engineers,lawyers,chartered accountants,and architects who are carrying on their profession by practicing.
