JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Exam Guidelines: The Session 2 examination for JEE Main 2026—the country’s largest engineering entrance exam—is set to commence tomorrow,April 2nd. The JEE Main B.Tech/B.E. paper will be conducted on April 2,4,5,6,7,and 8,2026. The first shift will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM,while the second shift will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Admit cards for the examination have also been released.

Candidates who have not yet downloaded their hall tickets for the exam can obtain them via the official website,jeemain.nta.nic.in. Students appearing for the examination have been instructed to reach their respective exam centres one hour prior to the scheduled start time.

Entry into the centre will be closed half an hour before the commencement of the examination. Students will not be permitted to enter the premises once the exam gates have been shut. The NTA has stated that for the examination beginning at 9:00 AM,entry will be allowed between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM. Similarly,for the examination scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM,entry will be granted between 1:00 PM and 2:30 PM.

Documents to Carry:
– A printed copy of the Admit Card downloaded from the NTA website,along with the Self-Declaration (Undertaking) form (a clear printout on A4-sized paper),duly filled out.

– One passport-sized photograph to be affixed in the designated space on the attendance sheet at the exam centre during the examination.

– Any one authorised photo ID: Valid School Identity Card / PAN Card / Voter ID / Passport / Aadhaar Card (with photograph) / e-Aadhaar (with photograph) / Class XII Board Admit Card (with photograph) / Bank Passbook (with photograph).

Dress Code Guidelines
Female candidates are advised not to wear stoles,dupattas,scarves,or any such attire that may cause inconvenience during security checks. Furthermore,do not wear jewellery or metal objects,including rings,earrings,or bracelets. Additionally,male candidates should avoid wearing clothing with buckles or other metal components. Refrain from wearing caps,mufflers,or any form of head covering. The wearing of ornaments such as chains,bracelets,or rings is prohibited.

When will the exam be held?
The JEE Main Session 2 examination will be conducted between April 2 and April 9,2026. This examination consists of two papers: Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) and Paper 2 (B.Arch/B.Planning). It is worth noting that JEE Main is a national-level entrance examination that facilitates admission into the country’s prestigious institutions,such as NITs,IIITs,and CFTIs.

What information will the Admit Card contain?

The Admit Card serves as more than just an entry pass; it contains crucial details such as your name,roll number,examination centre address,date and time of the exam,photograph,and signature. Upon downloading the Admit Card,ensure that you thoroughly verify all the information provided therein.
