Upcoming 2 SUVs: The mid-size SUV segment is at the forefront of the Indian automotive market. The demand for vehicles in this segment is highest and due to this the competition has also increased here. Korean car company Hyundai’s Creta SUV currently remains the segment leader. To compete with it, two new SUVs are going to hit the Indian market soon. Let us know about them.

Tata Curvv

Tata Curvv was last seen in its production-ready version at the India Mobility Global Expo 2024. Tata Curve is scheduled to be launched in mid-2024. Following the all-electric curve, a conventionally powered petrol/diesel version will also be introduced. The Curve’s exterior design will feature a familiar front fascia, flush door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels and a coupe roofline.

Talking about the features, it will have a four-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo, free-standing 12.3-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument console and ventilated front seats.

Citroen Basalt Coupe-SUV

After the C3 Aircross, Citroen is planning to launch a new SUV to compete with the Hyundai Creta. This coupe-SUV has been developed specifically for the South African and Indian markets. Recently, the production-ready version of the Citroen Basalt Vision Concept was revealed. Scheduled for launch in the domestic market in the second half of 2024, the Creta rival coupe-SUV will likely be named C3X in the country.

Based on the same platform as the C3 Aircross, it will be powered by a 1.2 liter turbo petrol engine, producing 110 bhp and 205 Nm of peak torque. Apart from the 6-speed manual, there will also be a torque converter automatic gearbox on offer. The Citroen Basalt coupe-SUV will compete with the upcoming Tata Curvv in the domestic market.
