Train Cancelled: Major setback for railway passengers. Trains carry numerous passengers to their destinations. Consider a situation where you have booked a train ticket two months ahead, only to find out upon arrival at the station that the train has been canceled. Naturally, this would be disappointing for everyone. Therefore, if you have upcoming train travel plans, it is crucial to be aware of the latest news. Valuable information has been shared by the Moradabad Railway Division regarding repair work at Bareilly station yard. This maintenance work will lead to a blockage for several days, resulting in the cancellation of many trains and a few others being rerouted.
Which trains are affected by the cancellations?
As per the Railways, the repair work at Bareilly station yard is scheduled from July 5 to August 3.
During this period, Bareilly-Lokmanya Tilak Express will not run on 11, 18, 25 July, and 1 August.
Similarly, Bareilly-Ujjain Express will be canceled on 8, 15, 22, and 29 July.
Moreover, Ujjain-Bareilly Express is suspended on 9, 16, 23, and 30 July.
Bareilly-Delhi and Delhi-Bareilly Express will also be canceled from July 5 to August 3.
Ensuring passenger comfort
To accommodate the canceled trains and the increased number of passengers, the Railways will attach extra coaches to several trains, providing significant relief to travelers. Additional sleeper coaches will be added to trains on the Ayodhya Cantt-Anand Vihar and Anand Vihar-Ayodhya Cantt routes. Furthermore, extra coaches will be included in the Pratapgarh-Delhi Padmavat Express and Delhi-Pratapgarh Padmavat Express services. Some coaches will also be added to the Ayodhya Cantt-Delhi and Delhi-Ayodhya Cantt routes. Not only that, Work is underway to strengthen the track on the Gaura-Suvansa-Badshahpur-Nibhapur-Janghai section of the Northern Railway’s Lucknow division. Due to this, a non-interlocking block will be in place from June 23rd to June 30th, resulting in the cancellation of several trains and rerouting of others.
These trains will remain cancelled from June 23 to 30
- Pratapgarh-Varanasi Special (55142)
- Banaras-Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Special (55141)
- Both these trains will remain completely cancelled during this period.
These trains will not run from June 28 to 30.
