DA Hike Update: Good news for state government employees. Today, April 1st, marks a significant day for government employees in Madhya Pradesh. Starting today, they will receive their dearness allowance based on the seventh pay scale. This change was approved during a meeting of the Mohan Cabinet. As a result, employees can expect a substantial increase in their benefits beginning this month. Previously, the dearness allowance was calculated using the old system, but with the new seventh pay scale, their financial support will rise.

Additionally, there has been a long-standing promotion freeze for government employees since 2016, which lasted for nine years. However, the Mohan government has lifted this ban, allowing employees to be promoted once again. All departments have been instructed to implement this change.

From now on, the dearness allowance will be calculated according to the seventh pay scale. Until now, Madhya Pradesh government employees received their allowance based on the sixth pay scale. Starting today, they will see an increase in their dearness allowance, which will help cover various expenses, including fuel and housing costs.

Meanwhil A significant cabinet meeting took place on Tuesday, April 1, at the ministry in Bhopal, led by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The cabinet approved several key decisions, which were shared by Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya during a press conference. Notably, the cabinet has approved a proposal to rename CM Rise School to ‘Sandipani School’.

Additionally, the government is set to resume bus operations in Madhya Pradesh after a 22-year hiatus. These buses will operate under the initiative called ‘Mukhyamantri Sugam Parivahan Seva’. This decision comes after ongoing advocacy from various sources, highlighting the need for improved transportation.

Furthermore, the Central Government has allocated a grant of Rs 224 crore for the construction of hostels aimed at working women, which will be established in industrial regions.
