As Finance Minister, Delhi CM Rekha Gupta today presented the budget for the financial year 2025-26. The Delhi government has presented a budget of Rs 1 lakh crore.

Gift to the elderly

While presenting the budget, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has made many big announcements. One of these announcements is the increase in pension for the elderly.

The new BJP government of Delhi has given the gift of pension increase to the elderly. The government has increased the old age pension scheme by Rs 500. For this, Rs 3227 crore has been allocated in the budget.

Now you will get this much pension

After this increase by the Delhi government, now the elderly of 60-70 years will get a pension of Rs 2,500 per month, while the elderly above 70 years will now get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month.

Till now, the elderly of 60-70 years of age used to get a pension of Rs 2,000, which has now increased by Rs 500 to Rs 2,500. At the same time, the elderly above 70 years used to get Rs 2,500. This has also increased by Rs 500. That is, now these elderly will get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month.
