A value-for-money match was seen on Wednesday in the Indian Premier League 2025. Delhi Capitals played against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In the last over of the 32nd match of the 18th season, Rajasthan needed 9 runs to win. But because of the accurate yorkers from Delhi fast bowler Mitchell Starc, Rajasthan could only score 8 runs, and the match went into a super over. Starc bowled yorkers in the super over as well, and Delhi won the match. This was Delhi’s 5th win of the season and their first win on home ground.

There was an Altercation Between the Two

After the victory, Rajasthan Royals opener Yashasvi Jaiswal met Delhi Capitals fast bowler Mitchell Starc. This video is now going viral on social media. Earlier, there was a heated argument between Starc and Jaiswal on the field during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25, which was played late last year and early this year.

During that series, Jaiswal had used strong words against Starc and said — “You are bowling very slow.” In the 5-match Test series, Australia defeated India 3-1. Jaiswal scored 133 runs against Starc, while Starc dismissed him three times.

Starc Bowled an Economical Over

In Wednesday’s IPL match, Starc bowled a brilliant last over and also a very economical super over. Because of this, Delhi Capitals snatched the win from Rajasthan Royals.

After the match, Yashasvi met Starc. At that moment, Starc was talking to his former Kolkata Knight Riders teammate Nitish Rana. Jaiswal greeted Starc by saying, “Legend, how are you? Very good, bowled very well.”

Starc Named Player of the Match

For the first time since 2021, a super over was played during the league stage of the IPL. Interestingly, the last super over also involved Delhi Capitals, who defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Chennai.

In this match, Delhi Capitals won the toss and scored 188 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Rajasthan Royals, while chasing, also scored 188 runs for 4 wickets, which led to the super over.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 51 runs off 37 balls, while Starc bowled 4 overs, took 1 wicket, and gave away only 36 runs. For his match-winning performance, Starc was awarded the Player of the Match.
