However, it lags far behind the Indian Premier League. Major League Baseball (MLB) ranks fourth on this list. Its total brand value is now estimated at approximately ₹1 lakh crore. The English Premier League (EPL), the world’s most popular football league, ranks fifth on this list. Its total brand value is estimated at approximately ₹71,000 crore (71 billion rupees). It remains in the top five due to its global fan base and large clubs. However, its brand value is roughly half that of the IPL.

The Indian Premier League 2026 is set to begin on March 26 (Thursday) and will conclude on May 31 (Sunday), according to a media report. The defending champions are expected to host the tournament opener. The IPL dates were formally communicated by IPL CEO Hemang Ami, but the opening fixture location is yet to be locked in.
