As of September 29, 2026, the Food Department reports that 90 percent of September’s rice allocation has already reached ration card holders. Fair price shops continue working to deliver food grains to the remaining beneficiaries.
October’s ration distribution will run through October 31st
Under the Public Distribution System, food grain allocations for both September and October 2026 have been finalized and distributed. September’s food grains are now stocked at fair price shops throughout the state, and beneficiaries can collect their September rations until October 15, 2026. Rice distribution for October will continue until October 31, 2026.

Appeal to the beneficiaries to collect ration on time:
The department has appealed to the ration card holders that those who have not yet collected the food grains for the month of September, should collect the ration from their fair price shop before the last date of 15th October.
