
Raksha Bandhan Special Trains: If you are planning to travel during Raksha Bandhan, you have good news. To manage the passenger rush during the festival, the Railways will run several special trains. Additionally, extra coaches will be added to many trains, ensuring passengers do not face a scramble for seats. The festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated across the country on August 28. In view of this, the Railways has announced several special trains.
More than 16 trains (up and down) will pass through Bareilly. Special trains will run from Anand Vihar to cities such as Jharkhand, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.
Meanwhile, the Railways has also decided to run a Raksha Bandhan special train between Jabalpur and Hazrat Nizamuddin. If you plan to travel along this route during the festival, be sure to check the train’s date and full timetable before booking your ticket.
When will the Raksha Bandhan special train run?
According to the Railways, this special train (Train Nos. 01701/01702) will make one round trip in each direction.
Jabalpur to Hazrat Nizamuddin: Train No. 01701 will depart on August 29, 2026, at 8:20 PM.
Hazrat Nizamuddin to Jabalpur: Train No. 01702 will depart on August 30, 2026, at 3:45 PM.
