Railway Apprentice Qualification:
To apply for the NWR Apprentice positions, candidates must have passed the 10th standard from a recognised board with at least 50% marks. Candidates must also possess a National Trade Certificate (NTC) in the relevant trade. This certificate must be issued by either the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or the State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT).

Number of Vacancies
Under this recruitment drive, training will be provided in various trades across different railway units. Included trades are fitter, electrician, diesel mechanic, welder, carpenter, electronics mechanic, computer operator, and programming assistant. Candidates must select only one unit from the available options.
A total of 2,008 apprentice training slots are available under this recruitment. These positions are distributed across various railway divisions and units. There are 500 apprentice slots at the DRM Office Ajmer, 524 at the DRM Office Bikaner, 580 at the DRM Office Jaipur, and 134 at the DRM Office Jodhpur. Additionally, 101 training slots are designated for BTC Carriage Ajmer, 69 for BTC Loco Ajmer, 33 for Carriage Workshop Bikaner, and 67 for Carriage Workshop Jodhpur. Combining the slots from all railway divisions and units, there are a total of 2,008 apprentice training positions.
Railway Apprentice Selection Process: –
Candidates for the NWR apprentice positions will be selected without a written exam. Selection will be based on a merit list prepared according to the percentage of marks obtained in Class 10 and ITI. The panel will be based on the simple average of marks secured in Class 10 and ITI. The final merit list will be prepared division/unit-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise.
