Bihar LET 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board has initiated the online application process for the “School Librarian Eligibility Test 2026.” This exam is now mandatory for participation in the Bihar librarian recruitment process. 150-Mark Exam, 150-Minute Duration

The eligibility test will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions totalling 150 marks. Of these, 100 marks will be allocated to library science and 50 marks to general knowledge. Each question carries one mark. There will be no negative marking in the exam.

Bihar Librarian Eligibility: Qualifications for the Bihar Librarian Eligibility Test

Candidates must be domiciled in the state of Bihar.
Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in their undergraduate degree.
A 5% relaxation in marks is granted to candidates belonging to the SC, ST, EBC, BC, PwD (Divyang), and EWS categories, as well as female candidates.
Candidates must hold a graduation degree in library science.
A 10-year age relaxation is applicable to all categories.
The maximum age limit is set at 37, 40, or 42 years, depending on the category.

Application Fee
Candidates belonging to the General, Backward Class, and Extremely Backward Class categories are required to pay a fee of ₹960 to appear for this exam, while candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled categories must pay ₹760.

Exam Pattern
Candidates will be asked 150 multiple-choice questions in this exam. Two and a half hours will be allotted to complete the paper. There will be no negative marking in this exam. The exam will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT).
