PM Kisan Yojana: Big news for farmers. The 24th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, known as PM Kisan Yojana, is eagerly anticipated by farmers after the release of the 23rd installment on June 20, 2026. Reports from the media suggest that the upcoming installment may be disbursed in October or before Diwali. Nilesh Chaurasia, Deputy Director of Agriculture, hinted at a possible October release, but an official date is yet to be announced by the government.
To ensure eligibility for the 24th installment, farmers must pay close attention to certain requirements to avoid any delays in receiving the payment. Essential tasks include completing e-KYC, ensuring accurate bank account and Aadhaar details, and obtaining a Farmer ID for new registrants.
For those registered under PM-KISAN, e-KYC is mandatory and must be completed on the official government portal. Farmers should act promptly if they have not yet done so. New farmers are required to acquire a Farmer ID, which contains essential information about their identity and land, obtainable through a CSC center or the state’s agriculture portal.
Eligibility for PM-KISAN benefits is tied to land ownership, with ownership acquired after February 1, 2019, and cases of multiple family members receiving benefits subject to investigation. Payments may be withheld until such investigations are concluded. At the same time, if we talk about the 23rd installment, this installment was released in June. If we look at it this way, the four-month period of the 24th installment is completing in October. Therefore, it is believed that the 24th installment may be released in October.
Under the scheme, eligible farmer families receive Rs 6,000 annually in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each, directly deposited into their bank accounts. As the official release date for the 24th installment is pending, farmers are advised to verify their e-KYC status, bank and Aadhaar information, and beneficiary standing ahead of time.
