Applying for a PAN Card: Nowadays, a PAN card is not used solely for filing income tax returns; it has become an essential document for opening bank accounts, making investments, and conducting any major financial transaction. If you do not have a PAN card or there are errors in the name, date of birth, or address on your existing card, you no longer need to visit agents. The Income Tax Department has made the process of obtaining and correcting a PAN card completely online and extremely simple.
How to apply for a new PAN card?
First, visit the official website of NSDL or UTIITSL.
Next, click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab and select the option for a new PAN card.

Then, select the option to submit digitally via e-KYC. For this process, you must have an Aadhaar card linked to your mobile number. (Note: This method eliminates the need to send physical documents.)
Pay the required fee of approximately ₹1,000.
Once the process is complete, you will receive an acknowledgement number that allows you to track the status of your PAN card.
