
Milk Price Hike: The cost of milk is scheduled to go up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, from October 1st. The Indore Milk Vendors Association has agreed to raise the price by Rs 3 per liter. Henceforth, milk will be priced at Rs 68 per liter in dairies and shops, up from Rs 65. However, for home delivery, an additional rupee will be charged, making the cost Rs 69 per liter.
These adjustments will take effect starting today, October 1st, putting a heavier strain on the budget of the average person. This surge in milk prices will lead to a rise in daily kitchen expenses. Additional money will go to farmers. With the new increase in milk prices, dairy farmers will earn an extra 33 paise per pound of fat. Milk rates are determined according to its fat content, with the new rates applicable to milk containing 5.5 to 6 pounds of fat.
Home delivery will be priced one rupee higher. Customers who have milk delivered to their homes will face an extra rupee charge. This will mean that those opting for home delivery will pay 69 rupees for a liter of milk, up from 68 rupees. Possible price hikes in other states. While the news of milk prices increasing is currently limited to Indore, it is conceivable that from October 1st onwards, milk prices may also climb in other states. Prices of various other goods are set to be adjusted from October 1st.
