Uttarakhand Govt Jobs 2025. There’s good news for the youth of Uttarakhand. The recruitment process for teachers in the state’s primary schools has begun. The Education Department has initiated the recruitment process for 1,649 primary teacher positions at the district level. This recruitment process, which had been pending for a long time, is now over. Candidates with graduation, D.El.Ed., and UTET certificates can apply for these positions.

When will the application process begin?
State Education Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat has ordered all districts to begin the application process before November 9, 2025. The recruitment process has already begun in districts like Pauri, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, and Uttarkashi.
Basic Education Director Ajay Nautiyal stated that the recruitment is being conducted in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the RTE (Right to Education) guidelines. This year, special attention will be paid to the student-teacher ratio (PTR) so that every child receives a quality education.
Who Can Apply?
Candidates must possess certain qualifications to participate in the primary teacher recruitment process.
A graduate degree must be from a recognised university.
A D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) is mandatory.
Candidates must have passed the UTET (Uttarakhand Teacher Eligibility Test). Documents supporting all these qualifications must be submitted at the time of application.
Age Limit
Regarding the age limit, the minimum age for applying is 21 years, and the maximum is 42 years. The age will be calculated from July 1, 2025. Additionally, reserved category candidates will receive age relaxation as per state government regulations.
Salary
Candidates selected under the Uttarakhand Primary Teacher Recruitment will receive an attractive salary. Selected candidates will receive a salary of ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month under the Level-6 pay scale.
