Jharkhand JSSC Teacher Vacancy 2025 : There is good news for the youth dreaming of becoming a government teacher in Jharkhand. Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the notification for recruitment to 1373 secondary teacher posts under Jharkhand Trained Graduate Teacher Combined Competitive Examination 2025 (JTSTCCE-2025). This notification was published on the official website on 10 June 2025 and the online application process is going to start from 18 June 2025. Interested candidates can register their application through online mode till 17 July 2025.

What is the purpose of this recruitment?

The main objective of this recruitment is to appoint subject-expert and qualified teachers in the secondary schools of the state, so that the quality of education can be improved. Under this, teachers will be appointed in subjects like sociology, political science, computer science, special education. This opportunity is special for those candidates who are looking for a permanent and respectable job in the field of education in Jharkhand.

Number of posts and pay scale

A total of 1373 posts will be appointed through this examination. The appointed candidates will get a salary of ₹ 35,400 to ₹ 1,12,400 per month under Level-6. Along with this, they will also get other government benefits like dearness allowance, house rent allowance, health facilities and pension scheme.

Eligibility criteria

To apply in this recruitment, it is mandatory for the candidate to be a resident of Jharkhand state. Along with this, there should be necessary educational qualification like post graduation and B.Ed in the relevant subject. The qualification according to the subject will be as follows:

General subjects (such as History, Political Science): Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university and B.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed

Technical subjects (such as Computer Science): B.Tech / MCA / M.Tech / M.Sc (IT or CS) + B.Ed

Special Education: B.Ed (Special Education) or equivalent recognized diploma

Age Limit

The minimum age to join the recruitment is 21 years. The maximum age has been fixed separately for each category:

  • General and EWS: 40 years
  • OBC Male: 42 years
  • OBC and Unreserved Female: 43 years
  • SC / ST Male and Female: 45 years
  • Disabled candidates will get a relaxation of 5 years separately

Selection Process

Selection in this examination will be completely based on the written examination. The examination will be in two parts. The first part will have questions related to general knowledge, reasoning and Jharkhand. The second part will have questions related to the concerned subject. There will also be negative marking in the exam – one-third marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

The documents of the candidates who pass the exam will be checked and finally the merit list will be prepared and appointment will be made.

Application fee

The fee for application has been fixed according to the category:

For General, EWS and OBC candidates: ₹100

For SC and ST category: ₹50

No fee will be charged from disabled candidates

Exam format

The exam will be of total 5 hours and a total of 250 questions will be asked in it:

Part 1: 100 questions (General Knowledge, Jharkhand Knowledge, Reasoning) – 2 hours

Part 2: 150 questions (Subject-specific questions) – 3 hours

Total marks: 400

1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer
